Job summary

TAN TOCK SENG HOSPITAL PTE LTD is seeking an Occupational Therapist to assess, plan, and deliver personalised interventions that help clients regain independence in daily activities, work tasks and leisure. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to optimise outcomes and quality of life.

The role emphasises comprehensive assessments, assistive solutions, caregiver education, and ongoing participation in quality improvement projects. AHPC recognition is required to practice.

Qualifications

• AHPC-recognised Occupational Therapy degree awarded by an accredited program.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities with patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and deliver personalized interventions to restore independence in daily activities, work tasks and leisure.
• Provide rehabilitation, train clients in assistive devices and apply ergonomic principles.
• Educate patients and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and effective support.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and mentor trainees.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Comprehensive Assessment & Intervention: Conduct functional, cognitive, and perceptual assessments to identify needs. Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans to restore and enhance independence in self-care, daily living, work, and leisure activities
• Rehabilitation & Assistive Solutions: Facilitate work rehabilitation programs, prescribe and train clients in assistive technologies and adaptive devices, and apply ergonomic principles to optimize occupational performance.
• Education & Caregiver Support: Provide education and practical training for family members and caregivers to ensure continuity of care and effective support strategies.
• Quality Improvement & Mentorship: Contribute to departmental quality improvement initiatives and participate in research or innovation projects. Mentor trainees and students to foster professional growth and clinical excellence.
