Occupational Therapist

Responsibilities

• Administer occupational therapy services aligned with The Salvation Army's Mission and Philosophy of Care, providing resident-centered care focusing on their comfort and health.
• Coordinate and ensure appropriate occupational therapy services by supervising, monitoring, and educating therapy and nursing staff.
• Implement and continuously improve standards of care and service that meet or exceed Ministry of Health and The Salvation Army's required levels of performance.
• Assess and identify individual needs of residents and formulate, develop, and implement appropriate individualized music therapeutic programs.
• Evaluate and document residents' occupational therapy needs and progress at regular intervals, monitor training programs, and review their effectiveness.
• Refer residents to respective specialists for consultation and appropriate intervention.
• Train and supervise caregivers/volunteers in the maintenance of occupational therapy programs.
• Plan and schedule therapy care staff for relevant training to excel in their duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree / Diploma
• Full registration with APHC

Other Information

Working Hours: 8.30am to 5.45pm (Monday to Friday, 45 minutes lunch break)
