Job summary

A caregiving company in Singapore is seeking a Nursing Trainer to assist with training new foreign and local support care staff. The role involves reporting directly to the Head of Nursing, ensuring adherence to elaborate care plans, conducting wellness checks, and managing training supplies. Candidates should have a NITEC in Nursing and preferably experience in acute care or training. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and good interpersonal skills are necessary for this role.

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in acute and/or community care sector would be advantageous.
  • Prior experience as a trainer in nursing setting would be advantageous.
  • Shift work will be required, including on weekends and some public holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Report directly to the Head of Nursing.
  • Assist in the delivery of training for new support care staff.
  • Ensure the care plan is strictly followed by care staff.
  • Conduct house and hostel visits to monitor Caregivers' well-being and living conditions.
  • Assist in inventory management for the training department.
  • Organize weekly picnics and training for live-in Caregivers.

  • Report Directly to the Head of Nursing

  • Assist with the delivery of office-based and home-based training for new foreign & local support care staff.

  • Assist with providing initial orientation, onboarding, and competency training,

  • Assis in the provision and execution of the elaborate care plan with inputs from respective Heads of Department, Clinical staff and Senior Trainers.

  • Ensure the elaborate care plan is strictly followed through by the care staff.

  • Assist in conducting house visits/training/calls for our client(patient) and Live-In Caregivers, especially when Caregivers encounter challenges or difficulties with their client.

  • Assist in conducting hostel visits to monitor the well-being of Live-In Caregivers and ensure their accommodation is in proper living condition.

  • Assist in regular HDB visits and checks on the safety and well-being of foreign support care staff.

  • Assist in inventory management for the training department, such as: receiving stock, monthly updates, and distribution of supplies to live-in Caregivers or Care Staffs

  • Assist in updating all foreign support care staff contact numbers in the respective system.

  • Assist in organizing 6 weekly Sunday picnics for live-in Caregivers.

  • Assist in conducting 6 weekly Sunday training for live-in Caregivers.

  • Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned by the Head of Nursing.

Requirements:

  • NITEC in Nursing.

  • Prior experience in acute and/or community care sector would be advantageous.

  • Prior experience as a trainer in nursing setting would be advantageous.

  • As you will be working in a team of trainers, shift work will be required, including on weekends and some public holidays.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable with IT.

  • Good attitude, able to work independently and initiative driven.
