  • Lead competitive grant-funded research in collaboration with inter-disciplinary academic and clinical partners, with measurable impact on care delivery and policy.
  • Strengthen the scholarly capacity of the nursing workforce by mentoring Nurse Researchers, Advanced Practice Nurses, and undergraduate/postgraduate students in research and knowledge translation.

2. Innovation Leadership (20%)

  • Lead the Community of Practice (CoP) in Nursing Innovation, fostering a culture of co-design and front-line problem solving.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and evaluation of nursing-led innovations in care delivery, technology integration, and workforce solutions.
  • Engage with interprofessional and informatics teams to align innovations with digital health strategies and operational efficiency goals.
  • Engage with nurses, interprofessional teams and public health administrators to co-design nurse-led models of care that address system gaps and population health needs.

3. Strategic Systems Contribution (10%)

  • Contribute to system-level initiatives through appointments to GCN office, CoNE, or MOH workgroups, particularly in areas such as APN/nursing professional development, clinical autonomy, and integrated care models.
  • Inform institutional and national nursing strategies using insights from health system leadership and global fellowship experiences (e.g. Philadelphia).
  • Represent NUHS in regional and international networks to share innovation and research outcomes, strengthening Singapore’s nursing reputation globally.

4. Clinical Engagement (20%)

  • Maintain a clinical appointment (in outpatient/community care?) to ensure the relevance and applicability of research and innovation efforts.
  • Lead service development and quality improvement initiatives, drawing on research findings and international best practices.
  • Advise nursing leadership on clinical protocol development, documentation practices, and practice transformation initiatives.

  • Previous clinical expertise in a high-acuity or transitional care setting.
  • Experience in innovation leadership, informing policy development, and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Strong strategic, communication, and mentorship skills consistent with the expectations of a nursing leader.
