Job summary

SALOHealth is seeking an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team within a growing geriatric clinic. The role blends hands-on clinical care with leadership in clinic and home-based settings, collaborating with a geriatrician and multidisciplinary team to support older adults in the clinic and their homes.

The ideal candidate will have SNB registration, 5–8 years of clinical experience with supervisory duties, and a strong background in geriatrics or community nursing.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with SNB registration.
• Minimum 5–8 years of clinical experience with supervisory or leadership responsibilities.
• Experience in geriatrics, palliative care, community nursing or home care preferred.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities for nursing staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the nursing team, including rostering, onboarding, and training.
• Set and uphold nursing standards, documentation quality, and clinical protocols.
• Conduct nursing assessments and Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments (CGA) for elderly patients.
• Provide nursing care, procedures and treatments in both clinic and home-care settings.
• Perform nursing procedures including venepuncture, injections, wound care, IV therapy, PICC line care, catheterisation, NG tube insertion, health screening, ECG interpretation.
• Manage complex cases and act as the clinical escalation point for the nursing team.
• Support management of patients with dementia, frailty, falls, osteoporosis and chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct home visits as part of the geriatric care team, independently or with the doctor as appropriate.
• Oversee medications, clinical supplies, including handling, storage and stock control.
• Provide patient and caregiver education on health management, medications, lifestyle, care plans and disease management.
• Coordinate patient care, referrals and follow-up with doctors and allied health professionals.
• Ensure smooth day-to-day running of the clinic, maintaining operational efficiency.
• Lead the developmentand improvement of geriatric and community nursing services.
• Work closely with the Medical Director on the overall running and direction of the centre.

A Geriatrics clinic is looking for an experienced Nurse Manager to lead the nursing team in our growing geriatric practice. This is an opportunity to combine hands-on clinical work with leadership in a geriatric, clinic and community care setting. You will work closely with our geriatrician and multidisciplinary team to care for older adults in the clinic and in their homes, while overseeing and developing our nursing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the nursing team, including rostering, onboarding, and training.

• Conduct nursing assessments and Comprehensive Geriatric Assessments (CGA) for elderly patients.

• Perform nursing procedures including venepuncture and blood taking, injections and vaccinations, wound care, IV therapy and IV antibiotic administration, PICC line care, intermittent and indwelling catheterisation, NG tube insertion and changes, health screening, ECG monitoring and interpretation, and other routine procedures.
• Manage complex cases and act as the clinical escalation point for the nursing team.
• Support management of patients with dementia, frailty, falls, osteoporosis and chronic medical conditions.
• Conduct home visits as part of the geriatric care team, independently or with the doctor as appropriate.

Requirements

• Degree in Nursing.
• Registered Nurse with valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) registration.
• Minimum 5-8 years of clinical experience, with prior supervisory or leadership experience.
• Experience in geriatrics, palliative care, community nursing or home care is highly preferred.
• Strong clinical skills and confidence performing nursing procedures independently.
• Proven ability to lead, mentor and support a nursing team.
• Able to communicate well with elderly patients; dialect-speaking ability is a plus.
• Compassionate and patient-centred, with a genuine interest in caring for older adults and a strong commitment to patient safety and clinical excellence.
