A leading healthcare company in Singapore is seeking a Clinical Nurse Manager to oversee nursing operations in their oncology clinic. This pivotal role requires a Registered Nurse with strong leadership skills and significant clinical experience, ensuring high patient care standards and compliance with protocols. The successful candidate will manage a team, coordinate workflows, and bring a strong understanding of oncology practices to enhance patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily nursing operations within the oncology clinic, ensuring high standards of patient care and safety.
• Lead, manage, and support a team of nurses and healthcare assistants in delivering quality care.
• Coordinate clinical workflows and appointment scheduling to optimize patient throughput and staff efficiency.
• Participate in the setup and establishment of clinical operations, including layout planning, equipment sourcing, and SOP development.
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, infection control policies, and oncology-specific treatment protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeon, pharmacists, and administrative staff to ensure seamless delivery of chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and related treatments.
• Monitor and manage inventory of clinical supplies, drugs, and consumables, including cytotoxic agents.
• Provide training, mentoring, and performance evaluations for nursing staff.
• Develop and implement patient education programs regarding treatment plans, medication management, and side effect monitoring.
• Oversee the implementation of electronic medical records and documentation practices.
• Handle patient escalations and resolve service-related issues in a professional and empathetic manner.
• Participate in audits, quality improvement initiatives, and incident investigations as required.
• Ensure the clinic is prepared for emergencies, including adverse drug reactions or code blue situations.
Requirements
• Registered Nurse with a valid Singapore Nursing Board (SNB) license.
• Diploma or Degree in Nursing with post-basic certification in Oncology Nursing is a strong advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Prior experience in setting up or managing a clinical environment is preferred.
• Understanding of oncology nursing practices, chemotherapy protocols, and patient safety measures.
