Job Responsibilities
To develop, review and implement nursing standards to ensure the delivery of safe, quality and evidence-based nursing practices. Maintain and update audit, compliance and legal documentation. Provide oversight in the growth and development of the nursing team to build a competent, engaged
and future-ready workforce.
Primary Duties or Responsibilities
Client Care
- Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies for nursing care
- Oversee the efficient and safe day-to-day operations of the facility as well as monitor and enforce compliance to operational SOP and policies
- Ensure strict infection control procedures are observed
- Collaborate with other members of the care team to provide and achieve the best outcomes for clients
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in resolving issues and concerns of clients and their families
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in planning and implementing the activities for clients and to encourage active participation
- Develop, track and review nursing key performance indicators and continuously identify areas for improvements and addressing gaps.
- Lead and/or participate in various quality and continuous improvement projects to improve care standards
- Oversee the reporting, recording and tracking of incidents, medication errors and other client safety issues.
- Monitor and analyse incident data for trends. Develop and implement corrective action plans and introduce quality indicators to monitor effectiveness
Staff Management and Training
- Participate in recruitment, selection, orientation, training and performance management of care staff
- Conduct in-service training
General Administration
- Assist with the development of the nursing budget and track budget expenditure
- Oversee the efficient use, maintenance and management of nursing supplies and equipment
- Conduct regular reviews of usage of supplies and materials and evaluate possible alternatives
- Prepare statistical or any other reports as required
Job Specifications
- Registered with Singapore Nursing Board and holding a valid Practising Certificate
- Minimum Degree in Nursing
- At least 10 years of relevant clinical experience (With a minimum of 5 years’ managerial/supervisory experience)
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
- Relevant experience in Nursing Home would be an advantage
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong supervisory and managerial skills

- Good communication and people engagement skills
- Able to work alongside a multi-disciplinary team across all levels of staff
- Mature in thinking, well-groomed and able to work independently
- Organised and meticulous, with a high level of integrity
