Job Responsibilities

To develop, review and implement nursing standards to ensure the delivery of safe, quality and evidence-based nursing practices. Maintain and update audit, compliance and legal documentation. Provide oversight in the growth and development of the nursing team to build a competent, engaged

and future-ready workforce.

Primary Duties or Responsibilities

Client Care

  • Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and policies for nursing care
  • Oversee the efficient and safe day-to-day operations of the facility as well as monitor and enforce compliance to operational SOP and policies
  • Ensure strict infection control procedures are observed
  • Collaborate with other members of the care team to provide and achieve the best outcomes for clients
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in resolving issues and concerns of clients and their families
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams in planning and implementing the activities for clients and to encourage active participation
  • Develop, track and review nursing key performance indicators and continuously identify areas for improvements and addressing gaps.
  • Lead and/or participate in various quality and continuous improvement projects to improve care standards
  • Oversee the reporting, recording and tracking of incidents, medication errors and other client safety issues.
  • Monitor and analyse incident data for trends. Develop and implement corrective action plans and introduce quality indicators to monitor effectiveness

Staff Management and Training

  • Participate in recruitment, selection, orientation, training and performance management of care staff
  • Conduct in-service training

General Administration

  • Assist with the development of the nursing budget and track budget expenditure
  • Oversee the efficient use, maintenance and management of nursing supplies and equipment
  • Conduct regular reviews of usage of supplies and materials and evaluate possible alternatives
  • Prepare statistical or any other reports as required

Job Specifications

  • Registered with Singapore Nursing Board and holding a valid Practising Certificate
  • Minimum Degree in Nursing
  • At least 10 years of relevant clinical experience (With a minimum of 5 years’ managerial/supervisory experience)
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications
  • Relevant experience in Nursing Home would be an advantage
