Job summary

Dover Park Hospice in Singapore seeks a dedicated Nurse Clinician to lead nursing staff, guide safe and compassionate patient care, and support end-of-life services within a multidisciplinary team.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing with an SNB license, 3+ years in palliative/oncology leadership or 5–8 years in clinical leadership, and a post-basic qualification in related areas. This role emphasizes evidence-based practice, education, and quality improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing with a valid practicing license from the Singapore Nursing Board.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Nurse Clinician in Palliative/Oncology Nursing, or 5–8 years of relevant clinical experience in palliative or oncology care with demonstrated clinical leadership capabilities.
  • Post-basic qualification in Palliative Care, Oncology, or Gerontology Nursing will be an advantage.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrates competency in evidence-based practice, quality improvement, clinical audit, healthcare information systems, and staff development; experience in research or clinical presentations will be an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical leadership, supervision, and guidance to nursing staff to ensure safe, efficient, and evidence-based patient care in accordance with organisational and regulatory standards.
  • Serve as a clinical resource person in complex symptom management, end-of-life care, emergency situations, and terminal discharge planning.
  • Monitor and evaluate standards of care, promote patient safety initiatives, and ensure accurate and timely clinical documentation.
  • Lead and support staff education, orientation, competency assessments, coaching, mentoring, and professional development initiatives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient-centred care and improve patient outcomes.
  • Lead or participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, incident reviews, and accreditation or MOH-related activities.
  • Facilitate implementation of evidence-based practices, clinical innovation, and continuous improvement within the nursing team.
  • Participate in organisational projects, professional forums, emergency preparedness activities, and other duties assigned by the Director of Nursing or Medical Director.
