Nuclear Physicist -Oil Gas/Oilfield /Exploration & Production)

Job Responsibilities

1. Involved in developing and improving technologies related to nuclear physics, particularly in the context of oil and gas exploration and production. This includes designing, building, and testing radiation detectors, generators, and other nuclear measurement tools for harsh environments (e.g., deep down the earth, in space). Provide technical support for field tests and data analysis, contributing to the successful implementation of nuclear-based measurement solutions.
2. Designing, building, and testing state-of-the-art radiation detectors, generators, and other nuclear measurement tools for harsh environments.
3. Providing technical expertise and support for field tests and data analysis.
4. Contributing to the development of novel methods and techniques in nuclear physics.
5. Working with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and software engineers, to develop and implement solutions.
6. Identifying and addressing challenges in the development and implementation of nuclear-based measurement solutions.
7. Analyzing data collected from nuclear measurements and providing insights to improve operations and decision-making.
8. Utilizing nuclear techniques for well logging, which involves measuring the properties of subsurface formations.
9. Developing and improving technologies for measuring the flow of oil, gas, and water in pipelines.
10. Designing and building radiation detectors for various applications, including environmental monitoring and industrial processes.

Minimum Requirements

1. Background in nuclear physics, Ph.D.
2. Expertise in nuclear physics, radiation detection, instrumentation, and data analysis.
