Job description

Nuclear Medicine Technologist/ Radiographer (Locum)

You will be part of the Nuclear Cardiac Imaging team to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals to perform imaging procedures on patients for diagnostic interpretation.

You are responsible for providing clear instructions to prepare the patients, performing daily quality checks of the gamma cameras, ensuring the procedures are carried out as per protocol, and processing image data. These will include dispensing radioisotopes in radiopharmacy lab, giving radioisotope tracer injections, and proper documentation of quality checks and radiopharmaceutical data. You will also perform pharmacologic stress test for patients under the supervision of the physician. You are expected to participate in research programmes and comply with radiation safety guidelines. Clinical training will be provided for successful candidates.

Requirement:

  • Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology/ Diagnostic Radiography/ Radiation Therapy
  • Valid R1 License from Radiation Protection and Nuclear Science Department, National Environment Agency Singapore.
  • A team player with good communication skills

Documented proof of:

  • Measles (or Mumps, Measles and Rubella) vaccination or serological evidence of measles immunity;
  • Diphtheria (Tetanus, Diphtheria and Pertussis) vaccination taken during preceding 10 years at prevailing point of reference as required for all healthcare workers under the Healthcare Services Act. Applicants without these vaccinations are welcome to apply if they undertake to complete the vaccination(s) before work commencement.
