Job summary

National Skin Centre Singapore is seeking a Staff Nurse on a 1-year contract to deliver patient-centered dermatology nursing care in ambulatory settings. You will perform assessments, plan and manage care, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, educate patients and families, and supervise junior staff.

Applicants should hold a Diploma or Degree in Nursing, have at least 2 years of clinical experience, and dermatology experience is a plus.

Position: Staff Nurse (1 Year Contract)

Role Description:

• Responsible for performing care assessment, planning and management in accordance with established ambulatory nursing policies, standards and evidence-based practices.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team to achieve quality holistic care.
• Initiates service development and quality improvement projects. Provides patient, family and/or caregiver education as well as promotes health and well-being.
• Guides and supervises the support care team, junior staff and students.
• Recommends initiatives and implements quality improvement, evidence-based practice or research projects.

  • Perform biopsychosocial and environmental assessments to identify strengths and needs of patients, families and/or caregivers.
  • Communicate with the patient’s healthcare providers, families and/or caregivers to understand patients’ needs.

  • Involve patients, families, caregivers and/or relevant others as active partners, to identify needs, preferences and expectations of the patients.
  • Build therapeutic relationships and maintain professional boundaries when dealing with patients, families and caregivers.

Dermatology Nursing Duties:

• Perform dermatology treatment and assist in dermatology surgery.

Requirements
