Job Description

This role is responsible for troubleshooting and resolving issues in non-operational equipment, executing equipment modifications as directed by NPI engineers. The role involves repairing, refurbishing, assembling/disassembling, maintaining, troubleshooting, and testing various equipment and components. It is crucial in maintaining and optimizing equipment daily to ensure functionality and prevent issues.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform repairing, refurbishing, assembly/disassembly, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues in non-operational equipment and implement modifications as instructed by NPI engineers
  • Maintain and optimize equipment daily to enhance performance and prevent problems
  • Conduct repairs and maintenance related to manufacturing and assembly processes
  • Follow established standards, ensure data confidentiality, and support business processes with independent judgment
  • Complete process-oriented tasks, share technical information, and support departmental plans
  • Resolve various problems and complete daily tasks with minimal supervision
  • Assist vendors in setup and proto setup of facilities and GRE
  • Support vendors with machinery landing, installation, assembly, debugging, and commissioning
  • Perform periodic maintenance and calibration of tooling and gages
  • Audit tooling maintenance and calibration activities
  • Operate machinery for proto build runs
  • Assist NPI Engineers with experimental builds, process innovation, and new manufacturing technologies
  • Manage spare parts inventory
  • Maintain a master list of OS versions, antivirus, IPs, backups, and other configurations of all PCs in the proto environment
  • Perform regular backups, verify backup integrity, and conduct data recovery on platforms such as Windows OS, PLC systems, leak testers, vision systems, and offline test equipment
Professional Skillset:
  • Diploma in Engineering or equivalent; experience in inkjet or printer manufacturing is a plus
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently or as part of a team
  • Good command of English, both written and verbal
  • Hands-on approach to exploring and learning mechanical/electrical designs
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and keen observation abilities
  • Typically 4-6 years of relevant experience in equipment diagnosis, repair, blueprint reading, or related fields
  • Knowledge of adhesive dispensing, precision dispensing, ultrasonic welding, or plastic sealing is advantageous
