We’re looking to add a NPI Engineer (Injection Moulding) in Singapore. The position will be based in our Univac Site in Woodlands.
As a NPI Engineer (Injection Moulding), you will:
Manage the introduction of new medical device products into manufacturing. This includes process development for molding and assembly, technical support, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The Engineer will be responsible for the transition of new products and processes from engineering to manufacturing and the supply chain.
The key responsibilities are as below:
Serve as the primary internal and external engineering point of contact for assigned NPI projects.
Create and maintain the overall NPI project timeline and ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
Manage procurement and inventory of project-related materials such as trays, inserts, packaging, and tooling.
Prepare technical status updates and required project documentation.
Coordinate new tooling and automation trials, including validation to IOPQ/PPAP or equivalent standards.
Lead and document engineering changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Generate key technical documents including BOM, pFMEA, packaging instructions, master molding parameters, validation plans, protocols, and reports.
Ensure compliance with documented operating procedures and recommend improvements where applicable.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to gather technical data needed for accurate quotations.
Provide technical support to Alliance Managers and production teams as needed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
What skills and experiences are we looking for?
Possesses at least a diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Plastics Engineering, and/or any equivalent engineering discipline.
3 years of working experience in injection moulding engineering, with a focus on medical moulding and assembly processes.
Hands-on experience with molding machinery, molds, and assembly equipment is an advantage.
Experience with CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD is a plus.
Team player with a good verbal and written skills.
Good project management skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
