Job summary

Recruit Express Pte Ltd seeks an Electrical Engineer to support the design, construction, and commissioning of electrical systems for major building projects including healthcare facilities. You will review drawings and coordinate with consultants to ensure compliance with clinical requirements and codes.

On site, you will monitor installations, address RFIs, and assist with testing, commissioning, and handover while maintaining thorough documentation to meet regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience in design, construction or commissioning of electrical systems.
• Experience on major building projects and healthcare facilities preferred.

Responsibilities

Design Review & Technical Compliance

• Review electrical engineering drawings, specifications, and submissions from consultants and contractors to verify compliance with clinical requirements, Singapore building codes, and international healthcare standards.
• Identify technical gaps or discrepancies in design submissions and work with consultants to resolve them before works proceed on site.
• Ensure all electrical systems - including LV/HV distribution, emergency power, UPS, lighting, and building management systems - are designed to meet the operational requirements of a high-acuity hospital environment.

Construction Oversight & Site Coordination

• Attend site inspections and technical meetings to monitor the installation of electrical systems against approved drawings and specifications.
• Review and assess requests for information (RFIs), site queries, and variation orders relating to electrical works, providing timely technical responses to keep the programme on track.
• Coordinate with the mechanical, structural, and architectural teams to resolve cross-discipline clashes and ensure integrated systems deliver

Testing, Commissioning & Handover

• Support the testing and commissioning of all electrical systems, ensuring that performance meets design intent and clinical operational requirements.
• Review commissioning reports, inspection records, and test results, identifying deficiencies and ensuring rectification before practical completion.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain accurate records of electrical submissions, approvals, test results, and as-built documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure all electrical installations comply with relevant regulatory requirements, including BCA, EMA, SCDF, and MOH licensing standards applicable to healthcare facilities.
