Job summary

Job description

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Execute and witness NDT (UT/PAUT, RT, PT, MT) and inspections as per ASME, API, and client standards for boilers, piping, and structural components

• Verify materials (mill certificates, weld maps) and fabrication processes (fit-up, welding, PWHT) against project ITPs and applicable codes

• Ensure compliance with EPC contract specifications for mechanical completion and system handover

• Review P&IDs, isometrics, and GA drawings to align inspection activities with design requirements

• Lead HAZOP and risk assessments; troubleshoot field issues including corrosion and weld defects

• Monitor hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests, system flushing, and reinstatement activities for turnover readiness

• Coordinate inspection schedules with EPC contractor and subcontractors; resolve non-conformities efficiently

• Support commissioning by verifying completion of pre-startup activities such as hot oil flushing and valve tagging

• Maintain inspection documentation including RT films, ferrite tests, and relevant QA/QC records for final dossier compilation

• Report deviations and track corrective actions to ensure alignment with project milestones and deadlines

Requirements:

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering + 5+ years in power plant/EPC inspections.

• Certifications: API 510/570/653, CSWIP 3.1, NDT Level II.

• Proficiency in welding inspection, CUI/CUPS programs, and fracture mechanics.

• Mobility for site assignments and fluency in English.
