Job summary

HSA Health Sciences Authority in Singapore is seeking an individual with biomedical/ life sciences background to support the National Blood Program. The role involves after-hours blood supply operations, blood component processing, and inventory management in a lab-based setting with permanent night shifts on a 42-hour week schedule.

You will manage inventory, ensure cold chain integrity, perform component processing, and provide lab support while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Background in Life Sciences or related field.
• Experience in biomedical/ healthcare lab with night shifts is an advantage.
• Able to work night shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Able to work and communicate with stakeholders.
• Good analytical skills and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Blood inventory management – maintain adequate blood and blood product supply to hospitals.
• Provide laboratory technical support to after-hours blood supply operations.
• Maintain cold chain storage and first-expiry-first-out inventory movement.
• Handle blood requests and distribution accurately and timely; resolve issues with stakeholders.
• Perform quality control and ensure safety standards for blood products.
