Job summary

Greensafe International Pte Ltd is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to support teachers in lesson preparation and maintain clean, safe kitchen spaces. You will replenish ingredients, portion foods, and assist students with equipment while adhering to hygiene standards.

Key duties include general kitchen cleaning, equipment maintenance, and ensuring safety by turning off taps, electrical points, and gas mains when not in use. Experience and MS Word/Excel proficiency are preferred.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year of working experience.
• At least GCE N Level certification.
• Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in lesson preparation: replenish ingredients, portion chicken/fish, and set up equipment.
• Clean centre tables and mop spills; support students with equipment.
• Perform general kitchen cleaning and maintain hygiene.
• Maintain kitchen equipment and storage areas.
• Ensure kitchen safety and check locks/switches.
• Check cutlery/equipment are in place and accounted for.
• Turn off taps, electrical points, and gas mains when not in use.
• Replenish perishables and check expiry dates.
• Organise kitchen and store room; replace labels/posters as needed.
• Assist teacher-in-charge with stocktake of assets.

Hours: Mon–Thu 7:30am–4:00pm; Fri 7:30am–3:30pm

Key Roles

• Assist teachers in preparing lessons (replenish ingredients, cut/portion chicken/fish, clean centre tables, assist students with equipment, mop spills)

• Perform general kitchen cleaning

• Maintain kitchen equipment

• Maintain kitchen/food hygiene

• Maintain kitchen safety

• Check that all cutlery and equipment are in place and accounted for

• Ensure taps, electric points, and gas mains are turned off when not in use

• Replenish perishables/dry goods and check expiry dates

• Organise equipment in kitchens and store room; replace labels/posters as needed

• Assist teacher-in-charge with stocktake of assets

Requirements
