Responsibilities

1. Collect, verify, and analyze newsworthy information thoroughly.
2. Assemble findings into a coherent story.
3. Write and deliver news stories with the reader's perspective in mind.
4. Publish or broadcast news stories.
5. Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips.
6. Abide by journalistic ethics and codes.
7. Contact, interview, and research sources.
8. Maintain notes and audio recordings.
9. Cooperate with reporters, chief editors, and producers.
10. Stay up-to-date with current events by studying papers and attending events.
11. Conduct interviews balancing constructive criticism and appreciation.
