Job summary

Good co India is seeking a senior network security leader to drive strategy, architecture and operations across on‑premises, cloud, and hybrid environments. You will design and manage firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC and WAF, while guiding Zero Trust and SASE initiatives.

Collaboration with SOC, IAM, DevOps and Risk teams is essential. The role requires 5–10 years in security and architecture, with expertise across Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco and F5.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5–10 years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, network engineering, or security architecture.
• Strong expertise in firewalls and security controls (Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco, F5).
• Experience with Zero Trust, cloud security (AWS/Azure/GCP), IAM, MFA, and hybrid-cloud.
• Hands-on SIEM, SOC operations, threat detection, vulnerability management and IR.

Responsibilities

• Lead the network security strategy, architecture, operations, and security engineering function.

• Drive Zero Trust, network segmentation, SASE/SD-WAN, and secure access initiatives.
• Lead security projects across on-premises, cloud, hybrid, and multi‑cloud environments.
• Oversee monitoring, threat detection, vulnerability management, incident response, remediation.
• Establish security standards, policies, controls, risk management, and compliance.
• Oversee security technologies from vendors like Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco, F5.
• Collaborate with SOC, Cloud, Infrastructure, IAM, DevOps, and Risk/Compliance teams.
• Manage vendors, budgets, SLAs, security projects, and technology roadmaps.
• Lead and mentor network security engineers; act as escalation point for incidents.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Cybersecurity, Information Security, or a related field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in network security, cybersecurity, network engineering, or security architecture.
• Strong expertise in Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point, Cisco, F5, firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, and network security architecture.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing, switching, DNS, DHCP, LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, SASE, NAC, and network segmentation.
• Experience with Zero Trust, cloud security, AWS/Azure/GCP, IAM, MFA, and hybrid-cloud environments.
• Hands-on knowledge of SIEM, SOC operations, threat detection, vulnerability management, and incident response.
• Strong understanding of ISO 27001, NIST, PCI DSS, security governance, risk management, and compliance.
• Experience with Terraform, Ansible, Python/PowerShell, automation, and DevSecOps is an advantage.
• Strong team management, vendor management, stakeholder communication, project management, and technical leadership skills.
• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CCNP/CCIE Security, PCNSE, Fortinet, or Check Point are highly valued.
