Overview
We are looking for a Network & Security Engineer (L1 Support) with strong hands-on experience in firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and enterprise network environments.
Job Responsibilities:
Provide support for firewalls and IPS, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage network and security devices across a multi-site environment.
Maintain and optimize firewall rules, policies, and configurations in line with security best practices.
Respond to and remediate security incidents in coordination with the Security Operations team.
Support centralized network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless controllers.
Participate in change management and problem resolution processes.
Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contribute to monthly reporting using ITSM/ITOM tools.
Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning of firewall and network systems.
Maintain and update documentation for network/security configurations and SOPs
Requirements:
Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Min. 2 years of experience in firewall administration and enterprise network support.
Proficient with major firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower).
Solid knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs).
Hands-on experience with IPS and security monitoring tools.
Familiar with ITSM/ITOM platforms for incident, change, and asset management.
Able to support both remote and on-site operations in a multi-campus setup.
Professional certifications preferred: CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent.
Experience in healthcare or large-scale enterprise environments is an advantage.
Understanding of vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.
Willingness to participate in after-hours support when required.
