Job summary

Responsibilities

• Devise and implement new measures to strengthen and safeguard telecom/media channels against scammers
• Put up proposals and administer grants or other programs to support the industry to detect and disable scams
• Engage the industry to explore new ways and technology to help clamp down on scams
• Undertake robust analysis of policy and regulatory issues involving scams in telecom/media sectors in short to medium term
• Obtain multiple perspectives from internal and external stakeholders to develop robust policy recommendations
• Work closely with other government agencies and industry to ensure mitigation measures against scam calls/messages are implemented
• Advise other business units within IMDA regarding policy positions and new areas of policy work in telecom/media space for scams
