Are you a skilled Network Engineer ready to make waves in the maritime industry?
Join a global shipping leader at the forefront of vessel digitalisation. If you thrive in network design, system integration, are familiar with the maritime industry, and want to apply those skills in a dynamic, shipboard environment — this is your chance.
Network Engineer – Maritime Systems
In this role, you'll be the technical backbone behind shipboard network infrastructure — leading the integration and support of IT and OT systems across newbuilds and existing vessels. You'll be ensuring robust, cyber-secure networks as part of an ambitious fleet-wide digitalisation roadmap.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Design, document, and implement vessel-based network architecture (VLANs, firewalls, system segregation)
Lead technical specs development for integrating OT systems into shipboard networks
Coordinate network implementation timelines with shipyards, vendors, and internal teams
Provide support for network-related incidents — both remotely and via shipboard visits
Maintain and update network schematics and IT/OT inventory registers
Support network governance, system risk assessments, and cyber security initiatives
Participate in SIT/UAT of onboard systems and review vendor firewall configurations
What We’re Looking For:
3–5 years of experience in network engineering, with relevant maritime network engineering experience.
Must have: Experience in designing and troubleshooting network infrastructure onboard vessels.
Familiarity with OT systems (engine automation, navigation, optimisation tools)
Degree in Networking, Marine Engineering, or related discipline
Certifications such as CCNP, NSE 6+, or equivalent preferred
Working knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and standards
