Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT/CS/Engineering.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for an experienced L3 Network Engineer specializing in F5 LTM/GTM and load-balancing services. The role will support business-as-usual operations for critical IP infrastructure and load-balancing platforms across the Asia region.

The engineer will be responsible for platform engineering, client onboarding, infrastructure modernization, migration activities, automation adoption, and operational improvements. The role requires close collaboration with global network teams and stakeholders across different time zones.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and provide L3 support for F5 LTM/GTM and other load-balancing platforms.
• Support critical IP infrastructure services, including DNS, DHCP, and NTP.
• Design, implement, and maintain load-balancing solutions for enterprise and banking environments.
• Onboard new applications and clients to load-balancing services.
• Perform hardware and software upgrades, platform maintenance, migrations, and technology refreshes.
• Support virtualized network appliances and platforms such as VMware ESXi and NSX-T.
• Develop and implement automation use cases using Python, REST APIs, or similar technologies.
• Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation.
• Collaborate with global network, security, infrastructure, application, and automation teams.
• Prepare technical designs, implementation plans, operational procedures, and user-request processes.
• Troubleshoot complex network, load-balancing, DNS, and application-connectivity issues.
• Ensure solutions comply with security standards, banking controls, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in change management, incident management, problem management, and service-improvement activities.
• Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers and operational teams.
• Work with teams and stakeholders across multiple Asian and global time zones.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 8+years of relevant experience in network engineering, preferably within banking or financial services.
• Strong hands-on experience with F5 BIG-IP LTM and GTM/DNS.
• Experience with VMware AVI or equivalent application-delivery and load-balancing platforms.
• Knowledge of BlueCat or similar enterprise DNS/DHCP/IP address-management platforms.
• Strong understanding of routing and networking protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, and multicast.
• Experience with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches.
• Practical experience with Python, REST APIs, or network automation.
• Understanding of security best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Experience deploying virtual network appliances on VMware ESXi or NSX-T.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and solution-design capabilities.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNP, CCIE, F5 certification, F5-CTP, or equivalent vendor certification.
• Experience with large-scale data-center networks and perimeter-security environments.
• Experience designing and implementing highly available and resilient load-balancing solutions.
• Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code or network-automation frameworks.
• Experience working in multinational banking or financial-services environments.
• Knowledge of an additional Asian language.
