Job description

We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Network Operations Engineer to maintain, enhance, and support our enterprise network infrastructure. This role focuses on operational reliability, infrastructure improvement, and technical troubleshooting within a dynamic IT environment.

Location: AMK

Working hours: Monday to Friday, Office Hours

Responsibilities:

• Design and enhance existing network architectures; support the rollout of new infrastructure solutions.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as switches, routers, and load balancers.
• Troubleshoot network issues, conduct root cause analysis, and ensure timely problem resolution.
• Monitor network health, including uptime, traffic, and device status, to proactively address issues.
• Escalate unresolved issues to relevant teams, vendors, or technology partners as needed.
• Schedule and execute regular infrastructure maintenance at data center locations.
• Plan and execute network changes, including upgrades and firmware patches, in line with best practices and procedures.
• Maintain operational excellence by preventing service breaches and ensuring full compliance with internal controls.
• Carry out service and change requests in accordance with defined service level timelines.
• Handle incident tickets and requests escalated from the service desk or monitoring tools.
• Manage and patch network devices as part of scheduled lifecycle activities.
• Coordinate with contractors and third parties involved in physical network installation and cabling.
• Collaborate with other IT teams during new deployments or for cross-domain troubleshooting efforts.
• Generate network performance metrics and contribute to operational reporting (e.g., monthly SLA reviews).

Requirements:

• At least 3-4 years of hands-on experience in network operations or infrastructure support roles.
• Practical exposure to advanced networking technologies—experience with software-defined networking (e.g., Cisco ACI) is a plus.
• Familiarity with cloud networking environments (public or hybrid cloud) is advantageous.
• Strong technical foundation in enterprise networking principles and operations.
• Possess active Cisco certifications (CCNA or CCNP).
• ITIL certification or understanding of IT service management frameworks is a plus.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex issues and deliver prompt resolutions.
• Strong multitasking and scheduling capabilities for managing daily tasks and ongoing projects.
• Strong ownership mindset and the ability to work under pressure to meet SLA commitments.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating with multiple stakeholders effectively.
