Overview

We are looking for a Network & Security Engineer (L1 Support) with strong hands-on experience in firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and enterprise network environments.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide support for firewalls and IPS, including configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage network and security devices across a multi-site environment.

• Maintain and optimize firewall rules, policies, and configurations in line with security best practices.

• Respond to and remediate security incidents in coordination with the Security Operations team.

• Support centralized network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless controllers.

• Participate in change management and problem resolution processes.

• Ensure adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and contribute to monthly reporting using ITSM/ITOM tools.

• Assist in capacity planning and performance tuning of firewall and network systems.

• Maintain and update documentation for network/security configurations and SOPs

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Min. 2 years of experience in firewall administration and enterprise network support.

• Proficient with major firewall platforms (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA/Firepower).

• Solid knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VPNs).

• Hands-on experience with IPS and security monitoring tools.

• Familiar with ITSM/ITOM platforms for incident, change, and asset management.

• Able to support both remote and on-site operations in a multi-campus setup.

• Professional certifications preferred: CCNP Security, Fortinet NSE, Palo Alto PCNSE, or equivalent.

• Experience in healthcare or large-scale enterprise environments is an advantage.

• Understanding of vulnerability scanning and remediation workflows.

• Willingness to participate in after-hours support when required.
