In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring our network remains secure, reliable, and efficient. This is a 2 years contract role with possibility of extension and/or early conversion to perm.
Responsibilities:
Manage the enterprise network infrastructure in the Asia Pacific region, involve managing user communication during corporate network project rollouts and network-related tasks, embrace cloud computing platforms, software-defined networking, manage and coordinate with vendors.
- Manage the enterprise network infrastructure in Asia Pacific which includes configuration and maintenance of firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS, WAN communication device, router, LAN switches, WLAN network, RADIUS, DNS and DHCP servers.
- Manage software /network vendors in BAU work and also project management in relevant network related projects.
- Manage user communication in corporate network project rollout, and network related tasks.
- Ensure all WAN and LAN network infrastructure and services are stable and reliable based on the company standards.
- Relevant Experience in Firewall configuration, IPS/IDS, switch, router, servers (DNS, DHCP, RADIUS authentication servers), Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol, Windows and Linux server operating system.
- Embrace Cloud Computing Platform, Software Defined networking, Network Operations and Network Security (e.g. DDoS, VPN, Radius, 2FA).
- Perform IT Network monitoring and analysis of WAN traffic, ensuring maximum uptime in the region.
- Establish a plan of action to resolve the problem and implement the solution.
- Support change requests for network solutions & services.
- Manage automation of deploying network infrastructure with other teams including country IT.
- Handle complaints promptly, and ensure timely escalations to the relevant parties when needed.
- Assist in IT project planning, coordination, and implementation in the region.
- Participate in global and regional IT projects roll-out (e.g., Local Internet, VPN, WLAN, Cloud, Storage, Applications, Server, etc.)
- Participate in new business initiatives (e.g., digitization) as a Network SME.
- Manage and coordinate with vendors in achieving KPIs in system operations.
- Document process, procedures, work instructions, system diagrams, inventory, etc.
Required Experience
A minimum of five years of experience in supporting network and security operations within complex enterprise environments, including vendor management, SD-WAN management, and network governance.
- At least Diploma in Computer Science or its equivalent disciplines in a relevant field from an accredited college, university, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience with TCP/IP and data packet capture analysis, networking fundamentals, common network services.
- Good working knowledge supporting Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Azure/AWS Cloud.
- Experience with IT Service Management practices, tools, processes, procedures, and standards.
- Excellent knowledge in most aspects of IT networking, infrastructure, security, data centers, data protection, storage and hyperconverged systems.
- Ability to develop documented processes as needed for networking, infrastructure, security, operations, data centers, data protection and storage.
- Proven success in working as part of a high-performance technology team, collaborating with 3rd party vendors and interfacing seamlessly with business partners.
- Experience with IT Security protocols and best practices.
- Familiar with IP Protocols (ICMP, UDP, TCP); Routing Protocols (BGP, OSPF); Quality of Service; MPLS; Ethernet (STP, RSTP, VLANs).
- Experience with following technologies: Cisco 9000 series, Cisco Smart licensing, QoS, IPSEC, SD WAN, SolarWinds monitoring.
- Cisco (CCNA / CCNP) and/or Fortinet NSE 4 certifications or other network certifications are preferred.
