Job summary

Singtel Networks is seeking a capable engineer to lead GPON network operations and coordinate incident resolution. You will monitor faults, perform upgrades and work with Nokia, Huawei and ZTE OLTs to ensure service continuity.

Ideal candidates have a IT/EE degree and about 1 year of relevant experience, with strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset. This role offers growth and development within Singtel Networks.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Technology or Electrical Engineering.
• Approximately 1 year of relevant working experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the team to operate and manage the GPON network with Nokia, Huawei and ZTE OLTs.
• Monitor and remediate pro-actively detected services and network faults until closure.

Make An Impact By

• Lead the team to operate and manage the GPON network, inclusive of Nokia, Huawei and ZTE OLTs
• Monitor and take remedial action on pro-actively and reactively detected services and network infrastructure faults till closure.
• Mange the operation issues, elevate and follow-up until closure.
• Ensure that technical and managerial escalation and communication to stake holders are done whenever necessary.
• Documenting all Incidents and events through Incident ticketing system.
• Mange the operation issues, elevate and follow-up until closure.

• Documenting all Incidents and events through Incident ticketing system.
• Liaise and coordinate with internal stake holders, equipment and service providers and partners to ensure swift and efficient resolution of faults.
• Schedule and execute pre-planned operation activities for new OLTs, network optimization, software upgrade and so on.
• Impact analysis and process review on scheduled changes / faults / outage on Consumer GPON networks (e.g. fiber cuts, service migration, hardware failure…)
• Identify areas of improvements to reduce Infrastructure faults and improve monitoring capability.
• Monitor monthly report on Infrastructure fault rate, trending and provide the best suggestion/solution to reduce such fault/call-in rate.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance like network device hardware and software upgrade.
• Plan and monitor the ZTE C300 to C600 migration progress and ensure no data mismatch and all subscribers/PON port are in good shape after the migration.
• Up keeping of GPON network infrastructure information and records.
