Job description

  • Network Planning: Contribute to the creation of a comprehensive network plan that outlines how the network will be structured to achieve the company's long-term strategic objectives. This plan will include market coverage, allocations, the number of loops, rotation schedules, ship specifications (size and design), vessel cascading plans, partnerships, and potential slot exchanges or sales.
  • Operational Feasibility: Ensure the operational feasibility of proposed plans by evaluating and suggesting adjustments such as optimizing ship sizes, adding or removing legs, and streamlining port moves to better align with current market conditions. Proposals for these adjustments-such as changes to sailing speed, port choices, and move counts, or vessel upsizing/downsizing-will be submitted for review.
  • Market Expansion & Network Development: Develop network plans and conduct studies for entering new markets and addressing related issues.
  • Competitor Analysis: Continuously monitor changes in the competitive landscape to ensure that the service network under your responsibility remains competitive and capable of adapting to shifting market conditions. To stay updated on commercial developments within the industry, including competitor pricing strategies, service offerings, and utilization trends.

Requirements
  • Preferable 6 years of liner experience with understanding of ship operations, network design and yield optimization principles is preferred
  • Strong intellect and analytical skills that enables the incumbent to understand and optimize complex and interlinked rotations
  • Strong inter-personal skills and good team player
