Job summary

A public transportation company in Singapore is seeking a professional to oversee Quality and Safety compliance. Responsibilities include coordinating audits, managing quality programs, and proposing safety initiatives. Ideal candidates should have a recognized degree in engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience in quality and safety areas, along with strong analytical and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Preferably 5 years of working experience in Quality and Safety Areas in engineering.
• Qualified in at least one of the ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 55001 standards.
• Knowledge in regulatory Safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible to ensure compliance to Quality and Safety requirements.
• Coordinate with internal and external audit agencies for audits.
• Manage the Department Quality and Safety Observation program.
• Plan Quality and Safety Programs for the department.

Job description

Primary Objectives of Position

• Responsible to ensure the department comply to the Quality and Safety
  requirements on both NEL and LRT.

Major Responsibilities

• Main POC to coordinate with internal and external audit agencies for audit.

• Responsible to assist the respective sections in their audits to achieve a good result.

• Propose and execute improvement / initiatives / proposal to enhance the Quality and Safety of the department.

• Manage and Maintain the Department Quality and Safety Observation program

• Coordinate and plan for all required Quality and Safety Program for the department.

• Responsible to upkeep and maintain department key document such as Department Maintenance Plan.

• Monitor the department sponsored Work instruction/procedures timely and plan for review.

• Undertake company / department standby duties

The above activities are no means exhaustive and are subjected to amendment
whenever is needed.

Secondary Responsibilities

• Provide support to RS re-railment team during incident.

• Provide support to Operation during service disruption

Specific Safety Responsibilities

• Ensure safe working environment in the department

Job Specifications
Minimum Education / Qualifications

• Recognized Bachelor Degree or Diploma holder in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university or polytechnics

Minimum Years of Relevant Experience

• Preferably 5 years of working experience in Quality and Safety Areas, in engineering areas.

Knowledge/Skills

• Qualified in at least one of the ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 55001standards

• Knowledge in regulatory Safety requirement.
