Job summary

SIA Engineering Company Ltd. is seeking an NDT Technician to perform non-destructive testing and related duties following standard procedures.

You will assist operational staff in NDT, calibrate equipment, and ensure regulatory compliance across airworthiness standards. Candidates should have at least a diploma or O-Level with 2+ years of NDT experience, and preferably CAAS/NDT certification and EN4179/NAS410 Level 2 qualification.

Qualifications

• Minimum GCE O-Level or Diploma in Aircraft Maintenance/Aerospace Engineering.
• At least 2 years of NDT experience.
• CAAS approval in NDT certification preferred.
• EN4179/NAS410 Level 2 qualification preferred.
• Experience in aviation NDT services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform NDT inspections (RT, UT, ET, PT, MT) on aircraft and components.
• Calibrate NDT equipment and ensure readiness for deployment.
• Prepare and clean parts before/after inspection.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with airworthiness standards.

Job Description

You will perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and its related duties in accordance with written instructions and specific calibration requirements. You will be assisting operational staff from the Non-Destructive Testing section to accomplish their task in accordance with standard operational and safety procedures.

KeyResponsibilities

• Perform specific NDT and evaluations on aircraft and aircraft components

• Correct interpretation, inspection operation and work instruction within NDT manuals

• Organize, sort, and prepare the required equipment for the inspection

• Calibrate NDT equipment before commencement of services

• Perform one or a mix of the following inspections: X-Ray(RT), Ultrasonic(UT), Eddy Current(ET), Fluorescent Penetrant(PT) and Magnetic Particle(MT) in accordance with NDT manuals

• Ensure NDT equipment is serviceable and operationally ready for deployment always

• Upkeep of process systems and testing equipment to ensure it continuous operations

• Prepare and clean parts before and/or after inspection

• Conduct period audits in NDT area to ensure continuous Quality compliance to meet regulatory agencies requirements

• Assist NDT operational staff with aircraft related work

• Maintain good housekeeping, documentation, equipment, and tools to ensure compliance with airworthiness standards

• Be compliant in all matters related to general safety and personal safety as guided by company and industrial practices

• Ensure validity of calibration of all inspection and test equipment before use

• Conduct regular checks on chemical expiry and maintain its records

• Carry out any other duties as assigned by Engineering Supervisor

Requirements

• Able to read and understand documentation, and receive instructions in English

• Min GCE ‘O’Level and/or Diploma holders in Aircraft Maintenance/Aerospace Engineering

• Have at least 2 years of NDT experience

• Preferably have CAAS Approval in NDT certification

• Preferably have EN4179/NAS410 level 2 qualified in specific NDT techniques

• Preferably attended EN4179/NAS410 training from a Singpaore NDT Aerospace Board (SNANDTB) approved outside agency

• Preference will be given to candidates that have experience in aviation and/or performed NDT services in the aviation sector before
