The role requires setting up and calibrating ultrasonic and eddy current equipment, interpreting data, generating technical reports, and ensuring compliance with international codes; expects 3–5 years' hands-on experience and Level II certifications.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated multi-method NDE capability across marine, structural and industrial projects.
• Level II certifications in UT, ET and PAUT per ASNT/PCN/ISO 9712.
• Minimum 3–5 years hands-on NDE experience, preferably in marine FPSO environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform multi-method NDE inspections with UT, ET and PAUT per procedures.
• Set up, calibrate and verify testing equipment parameters for accuracy.
• Inspect complex welds, forgings, plates and piping networks.
• Detect and classify discontinuities to applicable codes.
• Analyze acoustic and electromagnetic data scans and size defects.

About the role

Ultra Inspection Engineer Pte Ltd is seeking a versatile NDE Technician Level 2 (UT / ET & PAUT Specialist) to execute multi-method non-destructive examinations across marine, structural, and industrial projects. In this multidisciplinary role, you will perform advanced volumetric and surface inspections utilizing Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Eddy Current Testing (ET), and Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT). You will evaluate structural integrity, detect internal and surface-breaking discontinuities, and ensure full compliance with rigorous international engineering standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform multi-method NDE inspections utilizing digital ultrasonic flaw detectors, eddy current instruments, and phased array equipment in accordance with approved procedures.
• Set up, calibrate, and verify the operational parameters of testing equipment to maintain high data accuracy and reliability.
• Inspect complex welds, forgings, castings, plate materials, piping networks, aircraft structures, and high-stress industrial or marine components.
• Detect, locate, and characterize structural discontinuities—such as fatigue cracking, stress corrosion cracking, slag inclusions, porosity, and internal anomalies—without damaging the asset.
• Analyze complex acoustic and electromagnetic data scans, sizing defects accurately according to applicable industrial codes.
• Generate precise technical reports, data backups, and documentation for client review and quality assurance compliance.

About you

• Valid ASNT, PCN, or ISO 9712 Level II certifications in UT, ET, and PAUT.
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience, particularly within marine engineering, FPSO structures.
• Working knowledge of major international codes and standards.
• Strong technical reporting and interpersonal skills for seamless team and client coordination.
