A leading company specializing in marine engineering is seeking a Naval Architect to perform architectural calculations and manage design projects. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture or Marine Engineering with at least two years of industry experience. Responsibilities include using engineering software, preparing test procedures, and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure timely project delivery.
Responsibilities:
· Able to perform Naval Architecture calculations (manually and using software).
· Experience using hydrostatic & stability software to general hull model, general stability booklet, stability & longitudinal strength check, sounding table etc.
· Prepare test procedures (inclining experiment, weighing control, ballasting sequence for tanks testing/cargo loading).
· Experience in conducting the inclining experiment, light ship survey, ship check.
· Handle contract-bidding engineering specifications and enquiry.
· Monitor the progress of drawings, documents and purchase specifications.
· Perform quality assurance check of drawings.
· Familiar with Marine classification society regulation and steel design code.
· Liaise with Production Department to resolve site problems.
· Liaise with Project Management Department to ensure on-time delivery of project.
· Interact with customers, vendors and regulatory bodies on engineering design matters.
