Music Teacher for Toddlers and Preschoolers (18 months - 6 years)

Job Scope

To create and deliver engaging and developmentally appropriate music classes for toddlers and preschoolers aged 18 months to 6 years. The ideal candidate will be passionate about music education, possess strong classroom management skills, and be able to adapt teaching methods to suit diverse learning styles.

Responsibilities:

- Curriculum Development and Implementation: Develop and implement age-appropriate music curricula that align with early childhood development principles. This includes planning lesson plans, selecting songs and activities, and creating a stimulating learning environment.

- Classroom Management : Create a safe, fun, and engaging classroom atmosphere where children feel comfortable exploring music. Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a positive learning experience for all students.

- Deliver high-quality music instruction using a variety of teaching methods, including singing, playing instruments, movement, and games. Adapt teaching styles to suit the diverse needs and learning styles of young children.

- Assessment: Regularly assess children's progress and development in music. This may involve informal observations, participation in activities, and simple assessments. Provide feedback to parents on children's progress.

- Parent Communication: Maintain open communication with parents, providing updates on their children's progress and addressing any concerns. This might include regular newsletters, parent-teacher conferences, or informal communication.

- Classroom Preparation and Maintenance: Prepare the classroom for each lesson, ensuring that all necessary materials and equipment are available. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.

- Collaboration: Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a cohesive and supportive learning environment.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in music education, early childhood education, or a related field is preferred. Relevant certifications in early childhood music education are a plus.
