Job summary

A dynamic music education organization in Singapore is seeking a passionate music teacher to develop lesson plans, teach music fundamentals, and prepare students for performances. Ideal candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field, previous teaching experience, and proficiency in playing at least one musical instrument. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Music Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous teaching experience, particularly in music, is preferred.
  • Experience performing music, either solo or in groups, is also beneficial.

Responsibilities

  • Developing lesson plans and instructional materials for music classes.
  • Teaching students the fundamentals of music theory.
  • Instructing students on how to sing or play musical instruments.
  • Listening to students perform and providing feedback.
  • Preparing students for musical performances or examinations.
  • Creating a positive and engaging learning environment.
  • Evaluating students’ musical progress and adjusting methods.
  • Purchasing and maintaining musical instruments and resources.
  • Keeping records of students’ progress and attendance.
  • Communicating with parents about their child’s progress.
