Job Title: Museum Ambassador & Assistant

Job Type: Part-Time (with potential for Full-Time conversion)

A private museum dedicated to celebrating the vibrant and intricate heritage of the Peranakan community. Through immersive storytelling, curated exhibits, and interactive experiences, we aim to offer visitors a deeper appreciation of Singapore’s unique Peranakan culture.

Role Overview

We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible individuals to join our team as Museum Ambassadors and Assistants. You will play a key role in delivering a memorable cultural experience for our guests—from leading engaging tours and managing visitor services to supporting daily museum operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Warmly welcome and interact with visitors to ensure a hospitable and enriching museum experience.
  • Conduct guided tours that share the history, traditions, and stories of the Peranakans (training provided).
  • Assist with general operations including ticketing, cashier duties and merchandise sales.
  • Support event and activity set-ups, and perform light cleaning duties (e.g., clearing tables, washing) after sessions

Requirements

  • Genuine interest in heritage, history, and local culture (knowledge of Peranakan or Chinese culture is a plus).
  • Confident and clear communicator, comfortable engaging with diverse groups of visitors.
  • Responsible, proactive, and a good team player with a hands-on attitude.
  • Able to multitask across guest services and operational duties.
  • Willing to work on weekends, public holidays, and during peak periods.
