Job summary

Bounteousxaccolite Singapore Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Trading Application Support professional in Singapore to provide second-line support for front office trading, risk, and market data applications. You will drive incident resolution, RCA, and service improvements while aligning with ITIL practices and risk controls.

You will also apply emerging AI technologies and collaborate with global teams to maintain stability and performance of critical trading infrastructure.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide second-line support for front office trading, risk and market data apps.
• Prioritize production break-fix and service improvements via stakeholder management.
• Minimize IT risks across the application and tech stack.
• Learn and apply AI tech (e.g., Copilot) where appropriate.
• Ensure batch SLAs/OLAs are understood and linked to business impact.
• Maintain knowledge bases, docs, runbooks and disaster recovery content.
• Work with development and risk teams to ensure rapid changes are delivered safely.
• Document and validate changes, perform testing and peer reviews.

Job description

Trading Application Support

Provide second-line support for front office trading, risk, and market data applications.

Ensure production break-fix and service improvement requirements take priority over change through effective stakeholder management and expectation setting.

Actively minimize any IT risks across the application & underlying technology stack.

Learn and apply AI technologies including Microsoft Copilot, GitHub CoPilot, and automation tools where appropriate.

Contribute to effective capacity management across all applications and underpinning platform technologies that support your applications.

Ensure all batch SLA’s/ OLA’s are appropriate, understood and agreed for the critical path of your batch processes, ensuring that you understand the full business impacts of any failures along that path.

Contribute to knowledge management across your applications ensuring all architecture diagrams and documents, data flows and integrations, release and deployment guides, administration; disaster recovery documentation, user and/or training manuals are centrally stored and frequently reviewed.

Ensure all fixes or known errors are maintained in the relevant knowledge or known-error databases.

Ensure logical access management/security procedures and policies are followed.

Ensure all BCP/Crisis Management plans are understood.

Analytics, problem solving & reporting

Contribute to the identification of incident root cause and service improvement with an inquiring and tenacious approach.

Ensure that the ICBCS problem, incident & change management processes are understood and followed

Review current & recent problems to ensure the correct level of due diligence and challenge has been performed to mitigate repeat incidents.

Ensure problem records are kept up to date with clear & concise information explaining what current investigational steps are taking place with clear commitments on delivery.

Manage your own workload proactively and understand escalation processes.

Your primary focus will be on driving incident reduction demonstrated through improved production stability.

Servicing clients & team work

Be fully supportive to other members or roles within the immediate and wider technology teams.

Ensure strong peer to peer relationships within technology and the business by being proactive and understanding complexities, processes, challenges and priorities.

Develop and deliver minor enhancements as specified by business.

Perform testing and validation of functionality.

Document and update Wiki instructions for support.

Perform peer reviews and actively challenge designs to provide the most optimal solutions.

Important relationships:

Strong relationships with development teams to ensure early engagement, input, challenge and delivery of all change initiatives.

Maintain relationships with the wider risk and control functions to ensure that risks are understood, documented and mitigated with clear action plans.

Day-to-day relationships with teams from other business units to ensure strong collaboration, awareness, and unification of approach, book of work, challenges, best practice, etc.

Strong operational relationships with Infrastructure platform support to ensure continued stability and availability of production services.

Required Skills, Knowledge, Experience and Values:

Essential Skills & Experience

Practical experience supporting business-critical applications within financial markets or banking technology.

Sound understanding of financial markets, trading environments and associated operational processes.

Strong production support experience, including incident investigation, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis.

Exposure to AI, machine learning, Microsoft Copilot, or data analytics solutions.

Hands-on experience using SQL to investigate data, reconcile issues and support business processes.

Understanding of databases, data processing, and system integrations.

Good communication skills with the ability to interact with both technical and business stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.

Understanding of ITIL principles, incident management, and change management processes.

Desirable Skills & Experience

Experience supporting Murex or a comparable front-to-back trading platform and Familiarity with platforms such as Bloomberg, Reuters, or other trading systems.

Exposure to Python, PowerShell, or automation scripting.

Knowledge of modern data technologies.

Experience with monitoring and observability tools.

Understanding of data quality, reconciliation, and operational controls.

Experience working within an investment bank and understanding the importance of effective controls in a banking environment

Experience supporting globally distributed users and stakeholders across multiple regions and time zones

Ability to communicate effectively with Mandarin-speaking stakeholders would be beneficial in supporting regional business and technology initiatives.
