Job Description:

Heritage Collection is seeking a highly experienced mural artist for a one-time, site-specific public art commission at a conserved shophouse property located in Kampong Glam, Singapore.

The selected artist will be responsible for executing a large-scale, outdoor mural painting on the external side wall of the property. The project aims to enhance the building’s streetscape and contribute meaningfully to the cultural landscape of the area, in line with guidelines from the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA).

Key Responsibilities:

• Create and complete a custom mural artwork as per the commissioned design brief.
• Prepare the site surface and mural materials in accordance with safety and environmental requirements.
• Execute the mural painting over a scheduled period, subject to weather conditions.
• Ensure that the mural aligns with culturally sensitive and site-appropriate themes reflecting Kampong Glam’s heritage.
• Liaise with the company and relevant stakeholders for site access and project coordination.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of professional mural painting experience with a proven track record of completed large-scale public art projects.
• Strong portfolio in realistic, historically-inspired mural artworks, particularly large-scale outdoor murals.
• Experience working on heritage properties or culturally significant public spaces preferred.
• Excellent knowledge of mural preparation, execution, and preservation techniques for tropical outdoor conditions.
• Ability to work at height and outdoors for extended periods.
• Willingness to comply with all local regulations and project requirements.
