About the role
To support the Vice President Commercial and Operations, Retail for Singapore in Category Management, Vendor Management and Inventory Management.
Responsibilities
Commercial Vision, Assortment Planning and Planogram
Formulate overall commercial strategy and associated category, assortment and merchandising plan
Execute and continuously refine the assortment and merchandising plan by store
Define and execute store layout and brand allocation by store, supported by planogram
Monitor performance of product range and review opportunities for enhancement
Vendor Management and Performance
Foster relationships with vendors to achieve sales and margin objectives
Enhance range in collaboration with vendors
Manage vendor performance to align with commercial agreement
Liaise with vendor on pricing and cost to achieve margin objectives
Range selection, Buying and Replenishment
Selection product range and execute buying and replenishment to achieve business objectives
Closely monitor inventory position and execute replenishment plan, avoid overstock
Operations, Promotions and Marketing
In coordination with Operations, support the implementation and development of sales strategy to deliver sales and margin objectives
Develop seasonal transition and promotional strategies and liaison with Operations and Marketing on campaigns and promotions execution
Ensure proper implementation of promotion and setup schemes in systems
Requirements
Diploma or Degree in a relevant field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in category management, buying, and merchandising (Multi-Category/FMCG preferred).
Proficient in MS Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP essential) and familiar with SAP, BW.
Strong analytical, numerical, and detail-oriented skills.
Self-driven, proactive, dynamic, and efficient.
Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and a strong team player.
