Job summary

GlobalFoundries is seeking a highly skilled Lithography Process Engineer for the GIGA+ Fab to lead silicon photonics and power process development. The role involves setting up processes, guiding UMD engineers, and ensuring robust, cost-efficient production through close collaboration with equipment and integration teams.

The ideal candidate has >10 years in lithography, a strong engineering degree, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work across diverse cultures and customer

Qualifications

• Degree in engineering or physical sciences is required.
• >10 years Lithography experience; Silicon Photonics exposure is a bonus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively with diverse cultures and teams.

Responsibilities

• Set up processes per technical requirements and guide Litho module UMD process engineers to develop silicon photonics & power processes.
• Keep projects on track and report milestones to department head.
• Troubleshoot issues during process setup, ensure qualification lots run smoothly, and work with equipment team to improve process robustness.
• Collaborate with integration to improve process stability and margins for quality and cost-effective production.
• Coordinate with customer engineering teams to maintain effective communication with customers.
• Organize and provide training for engineers/AEs to transfer process knowledge before mass production.
• Deputize litho process section manager as needed.

Introduction:

GIGA+ Fab is seeking a highly skilled, experienced and motivated Lithography Process Engineer to become part of our Unit Module Development Team, leading exciting projects in Silicon Photonics & Power platforms.

Job description:

• To set up processes as per technical requirements and guide Litho module UMD process engineers develop silicon photonics & power processes.
• To keep projects on track and report key milestones to department head.
• To troubleshoot any issues that arise during process setup, ensure the new process qualifications lots run smoothly and work with equipment team to improve process robustness.
• To work with integration to improve the process stability and process margin, achieve good quality process and cost-effective production.
• To with customer engineering team to have effective communication with customers.
• Organize and provide training for engineers / AEs to transfer the process knowledge before running mass production.
• To deputize litho process section manager as per business needs.

Required Qualifications

• Degreein Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Science, Solid State Physics or other relevant engineering physical science discipline is required
• >10 years Lithography experience, experience in Silicon Photonics is a bonus
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with different cultures.
