Job Description
The Material Planner is responsible for planning Raw Material and Finished Goods to meet company targets, focusing on changes in BOMs, forecast, and customer demand, and their implications on inventory levels and manufacturing plans.
Close collaboration with multiple operational departments (purchasing, engineering, sales operations, contract manufacturing) is essential, along with a deep understanding of any changes in demand, supply, or BOMs affecting all material aspects.
Responsibilities include:
- Plan and manage end-to-end operational and planning activities to meet customer order targets and inventory goals.
- Analyze and manage risks, schedule the supply of RM/FG to minimize impacts on customer deliveries, production, and inventory levels.
- Analyze and release Purchase Requisitions as part of the Material Requirements Planning system (Oracle) MRPs, ensuring data accuracy and resolving issues as needed.
- Lead cross-organizational planning activities (Procurement, Sales, R&D, Engineering, Product Management, Contract Manufacturing, Finance).
- Lead projects and develop BI infrastructure to improve operational and planning processes.
- Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate processes for material delivery from suppliers to the point of use.
- Implement all processes to standards and targets, supporting continuous improvement initiatives and identifying areas for enhancement.
- Monitor BOM integrity and manage inventory accuracy.
- Analyze ECOs, provide timelines and analyses to minimize excess, and expedite implementation.
- Monitor inventory and liability levels against targets, leading activities to reduce excess inventory.
- Create statistical reports and analyses, updating stakeholders organization-wide.
Job Requirements
- B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering or similar.
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Material Planner.
- Extensive experience with Contract Manufacturers.
- Proficient in Oracle MRP; professional knowledge in Oracle required.
- Excellent analytical skills focused on operations and planning: supply vs. demand, inventory utilization, planned orders.
- Strong problem-solving and planning skills; able to work under pressure and handle multiple priorities.
- Advanced Excel skills (macros, Power BI, data analysis).
- Proficiency in English.
