Job summary

A leading company in the aerospace industry is looking for a mechanical repair technician to perform repair work on aircraft structural components. The ideal candidate should have a diploma in mechanical or aeronautical engineering and possess strong skills in mechanical repair and part forming. Responsibilities include utilizing blueprints, troubleshooting, and ensuring high-quality work delivery in a safe environment.

Qualifications

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in maintenance, repair & overhaul of nacelle components is preferred.
  • Understanding of blueprints and repair instructions is necessary.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Job description

Responsibilities:

To perform mechanical repair work of aircraft structural component.

  • Able to perform at least 1 of the followings:

    • Mechanical Repair

    • Part Forming

      • Utilize & interpret blueprints to fabricate sheet metal products

      • Select the appropriate type and gauge of sheet metal to be used

      • Use of sheetmetal forming equipment to form sheetmetals with 2D contours

    • Part Replacement Work

    • Assembly and Disassembly Work

  • Setup alignment jig/ ASMJ for repair work

  • Perform basic troubleshooting in assembly work

  • Handle and be responsible for the task individually

  • Carry out repair process to meet job delivery

  • Fill in production planning and quality records

  • Clear routing/work packages upon job completion

  • Produce good quality repair work

  • Ensure a safe environment with 5S on workshop

  • Ensure good discipline and shopfloor safety

Requirements:

  1. Diploma/Nitec in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering

  2. Preferably with 1 to 3 years of experience in the maintenance, repair & overhaul of nacelle components

  3. Understanding of blue prints, repair instructions & sketches

  4. Possess CAAS A12, B11 & L11/L12 papers would be advantageous

  5. Able to work independently and meet deadlines

  6. A team player with a positive working attitude and keen interest to learn

  7. Fresh school leavers will be considered for an entry level position
