Job summary

Good Job Creations Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking an Automation Engineer to support the design and development of automation solutions, including PLCs, robotics, motion control, and vision systems.

You will assist in selecting electrical components, preparing purchase lists, and participating in projects aimed at improving machine performance, cycle time, and productivity. You will develop and troubleshoot PLC programs and support vision systems and robotics integration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline related to motion control or automation.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in motion control, automation or machine control systems.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC programming, servo systems, robotics, vision systems, and motion control technologies.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of automation solutions involving PLCs, robotics, motion control, and vision systems.
• Assist in selection of electrical components and preparation of purchase lists for automation control systems.
• Participate in automation projects focused on machine improvement, cycle time reduction, and productivity enhancement.
• Develop, modify, and troubleshoot PLC programs to ensure stable and efficient machine operations.
• Support programming, integration, and testing of vision systems, robots, AGVs, servo systems, and related automation equipment.
• Collect and analyze machine timing data, prepare timing charts, and support cycle time improvement initiatives.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting to internal stakeholders and customers.
• Coordinate with internal teams and overseas offices to resolve technical and operational issues.
• Liaise with suppliers and customers regarding technical requirements and project matters.
• Prepare technical documentation, reports, and project records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Motion Control, Control Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in motion control, automation, or machine control systems.
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of PLC programming, servo systems, robotics, vision systems, and motion control technologies.
• Experience in semiconductor, display, or secondary battery industries is an added advantage.
• Experience in machine-building or manufacturing environments is an added advantage.
