A leading media company in Singapore is seeking a monetization strategist to drive revenue generation, manage partnerships, and oversee content planning. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the creator economy and a strong background in negotiation and market analysis. Primary Accountabilities
1. Revenue Generation & Monetization Strategy (40% of role)
Scope: Design and implement comprehensive monetization frameworks for creator content
Key Responsibilities:
Develop revenue targets and strategies for individual creators and content series
Create tiered monetization packages (exclusive vs. non-exclusive content)
Implement and optimize multiple revenue streams: sponsorships, brand partnerships, licensing, merchandise, subscription models
Conduct regular revenue performance analysis and optimization recommendations
Establish pricing benchmarks and negotiation frameworks for different content types
Deliverables:
Quarterly revenue forecasts and performance reports
Creator-specific monetization roadmaps
Partnership rate cards and pricing guidelines
ROI analysis for all monetization initiatives
2. Partnership Development & Management (30% of role)
Scope: Build and maintain strategic partnerships that enhance creator monetization opportunities
Key Responsibilities:
Identify, prospect, and onboard new brand partners and sponsors
Negotiate partnership terms, contracts, and campaign specifications
Manage ongoing partner relationships and ensure campaign delivery
Develop partnership packages that align with creator content and audience demographics
Maintain partnership pipeline and CRM systems
Deliverables:
Monthly new partnership acquisition targets (minimum 3 to 5 new partnerships per month)
Partnership performance dashboards and campaign post-mortems
Annual partnership strategy document
Partner satisfaction and retention metrics
3. Content Series Planning & Coordination (20% of role)
Scope: Oversee monetization aspects of content production across Creator in Residence and Exclusive Creator programs
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with creators to develop commercially viable content concepts
Coordinate production timelines to align with partnership and monetization opportunities
Ensure content meets both creative vision and commercial requirements
Support Creator Development Asst Lead in exclusive creator content planning
Manage budget allocation for monetization-focused content initiatives
Deliverables:
Quarterly content calendars with monetization integration
Production budget recommendations and tracking
Content performance reports with revenue correlation analysis
Creator feedback and satisfaction surveys
4. Market Intelligence & Strategic Planning (10% of role)
Scope: Stay ahead of industry trends and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions
Key Responsibilities:
Monitor creator economy trends, platform changes, and monetization innovations
Analyze competitor strategies and market opportunities
Provide strategic recommendations for program expansion
Contribute to overall business development strategy
Deliverables:
Monthly market intelligence reports
Annual competitive analysis and strategic recommendations
Trend forecasting for new monetization opportunities
Qualifications
Primary Options:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, Communications, or Media Studies
Bachelor's degree in digital marketing, Entertainment Business, or related field
Alternative Qualifications:
Relevant professional certifications (Google Analytics, Facebook Blueprint, etc.) combined with substantial experience
Diploma in Digital Marketing/Media with proven track record in creator economy
Minimum Experience: 3+ years
Preferred Background:
2+ years in creator economy, influencer marketing, or digital content monetization
2+ years in business development, partnerships, or account management
Experience managing content creators or talent
Track record of successful partnership negotiations and revenue generation
