Offer Description

SIT's mission is centred on nurturing industry-ready graduates with deep technical expertise and transferable skills, through collaboration with industry and applied learning pedagogy that integrates work and study.

Our faculty focus on bridging knowledge creation and utilisation, working closely with industry on translational research to address significant challenges.

The Singapore Teaching and Academic Research Talent (START) Scheme, co-funded by MOE and SIT, supports Singaporeans pursuing academic careers at SIT, including the Early Career Awards (ECA) for recent postdoctoral graduates.

Eligibility and Selection Criteria

  • Singapore Citizen
  • Recently completed postdoctoral training
  • Excellent academic record and proficiency in a research area aligned with SIT’s supported fields
  • Passion for teaching, research, and academia

Awardees may receive research grants, be considered for Assistant Professorship, and will be assigned a faculty mentor.

Application Process

  • Applications open year-round, with a deadline of 15 January 2026 for the 2026 intake.
  • Interviews are conducted throughout the year, with final panels in March-April 2026, and awards finalized by July 2026.
