Job description

Job Purpose

The Assistant Engineer, Maintenance Operation Centre - Field Services & Control (MOC – FSC) is responsible for providing operational engineering, technical advisory, fault handling, and network monitoring within the Maintenance Operation Center (MOC). This role supports the Mainline operations in the Operational Control Center (OCC).

  • Maintain Signalling and ISCS equipment within OCC.
  • Monitor and control all CCL Field Service Maintenance Works.
  • Oversee maintenance activities by non-CCL agencies.
  • Conduct condition monitoring of Signalling and ISCS equipment.
  • Respond to faults, deploy field teams, and coordinate maintenance activities.
  • Provide technical advice to management and operational teams.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Assist in team administration, coaching, and defect management (applicable to IC).
  • Multi-task effectively and work decisively under stress.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily MOC-FSC operations following established procedures.
  • Plan and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on Signalling and ISCS equipment.
  • Download, analyze logs, and troubleshoot faults.
  • Support fault investigation and resolution.
  • Coordinate maintenance activities across teams and agencies.
  • Manage defect reports and ensure timely rectification.
  • Monitor system health and verify alarms post-maintenance.
  • Ensure system readiness before traffic starts.
  • Follow safety and security regulations.
  • Assist in spare parts management and work instruction updates.
  • Participate in safety inspections and staff training.

Qualifications & Work Experience

  • Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Preferably 3 years of relevant rail industry experience.
  • Fresh candidates are welcome to apply.
  • Willing to work on a 3-shift rotating schedule.
  • Class 3 Driver’s License is advantageous.
