Job summary

Google Pay is seeking a Mobile Software Engineer to join the Client Infrastructure team. You will contribute to scalable mobile client foundations, focusing on performance, reliability, and secure integration across Android and iOS platforms with Flutter.

You will own end-to-end architecture, release pipelines, and developer tooling, collaborating with security, product, and release teams to drive platform initiatives across high-traffic Google Pay features.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of software development experience in one or more languages, or 1 year with an advanced degree.
• Experience with mobile development on Android, iOS or Flutter.

Responsibilities

• Design core architectures for mobile client infrastructure and optimize performance metrics.
• Build release pipelines, testing infrastructure, and developer tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive platform initiatives end-to-end.

• Design core application architectures, optimize critical app health metrics (such as Application-Not-Responding, startup latency, app size, memory usage, and frame rates), and build secure platform integration layers.
• Build and maintain release pipelines, automated testing infrastructure, and developer tools, leveraging Artificial Intelligence (AI)-powered solutions to automate diagnostics, optimize workflows, and boost overall developer velocity.
• Collaborate with executive engineers, Product Managers, User Experience (UX), and other teams (like Photos and Gmail intelligence teams) to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Work with technologies such as Dart, Flutter, Android, iOS, Java/Kotlin, Objective-C/Swift, and build/automation tools.
