Job summary

Coupang’s Ecommerce Engineering team is seeking an App Security Engineer (Android/iOS Reverse Engineering) to safeguard mobile apps through deep analysis and reverse engineering.

You will decompile apps, analyze obfuscation, document findings, and help build secure, resilient mobile platforms for customers in a fast-growing environment. Strong experience with Frida, IDA Pro, Ghidra, and network traffic analysis is required; Mandarin and English proficiency is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Security, or related field.
• Practical work experience in Android/iOS reverse engineering.
• Successful reverse engineering experience with mainstream apps (e.g., social media, e-commerce, finance).
• Strong logical analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to identify bottlenecks and develop solutions.
• Information security certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP) or open-source reverse engineering contributions are a plus.
• Excellent documentation and communication; able to present results clearly in English and Mandarin.
• Fluency in Mandarin and English is required.

Responsibilities

• Reverse engineer Android and iOS apps to uncover core logic and security mechanisms.
• Write detailed technical analysis reports outlining architecture, algorithms, API rules, and vulnerabilities.
• Set up reverse engineering environments and optimize toolchains (Frida, Xposed, IDA Pro, Hopper, etc.).
• Track industry updates on mobile protection measures and create reusable documentation.
