Job summary

A growing commodities and shipping firm in Singapore is seeking an Operations Assistant to support its Operations team. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of hands-on experience in operations, knowledge in handling Letters of Credit, and familiarity with shipping documentation. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with various departments to ensure efficient import/export operations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on Operations experience in Commodities, Shipping, or Manufacturing.
• Knowledge in dealing with Letters of Credit (LC) negotiation and preparation.
• Knowledge in shipping documentation and terms.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations team.
• Ensure export and import Letter of Credit (LC) are timely processed/applied.
• Handle LC negotiation.
• Ensure shipping documentations are proper and accurate.
• Ensure timely shipping tracking/delivery.
• Handle and issue contracts (sales and purchase).
• Work closely with Traders, Trade Finance, Finance and other relevant departments.
