Job summary

ByteDance Singapore is hiring for a role in the Search Growth E-commerce team focused on advancing the search recommendation engine used by over a billion users. You will work on cutting-edge machine learning, NLP, and multimodal approaches to improve the relevance and speed of product search across global platforms.

The role requires 3+ years in ML and a strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher degree in computer science or a related field.
• Strong coding skills and solid knowledge of data structures and algorithms.
• Excellent analytical, modeling, and problem-solving abilities.
• Publications or ACM-ICPC medals are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Elevate search recommendation services and models for E-commerce, driving improved search traffic and user intent understanding.
• Optimize the recommender system across recall and ranking stages in hyperscale ML environments.
• Advance short text and general recommendation tech with a strong NLP interaction focus.
