Responsibilities:
- Create and serve a variety of cocktails, wines, and other beverages in a timely and professional manner.
- Ensure that all beverages are served at the appropriate temperature and are presented with attention to detail and garnishing.
- Maintain an extensive knowledge of beverage offerings, including cocktails, wines, and spirits, and provide recommendations to guests.
- Greet and engage with guests in a friendly and professional manner, taking and fulfilling their beverage orders.
- Collaborate with the Head Mixologist to create new and innovative cocktail recipes and assist with special events and promotions.
- Assist with menu planning and pricing, working closely with the Head Mixologist to ensure that the bar offerings are of the highest quality.
- Prepare and serve drinks according to established recipes and standards.
- Create new cocktails and beverage offerings as directed by the head mixologist.
- Provide exceptional customer service to hotel guests and patrons.
- Take orders and interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized bar area, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly stored and maintained.
- Stock the bar with necessary supplies and ingredients.
- Ensure all equipment is clean and in working order.
- Continuously educate yourself on new products and techniques in the industry.
- Adhere to all applicable laws and regulations related to the sale and service of alcohol.
- Monitor inventory levels, ordering and receiving supplies as needed, ensuring that par levels are maintained, and wastage is minimized.
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of all bar products and supplies.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Provide recommendations to guests on food and beverage pairings.
- Create and maintain relationships with regular customers and hotel guests.
- Collaborate with the kitchen to ensure efficient and timely service.
- Provide assistance and support to other members of the bar and restaurant team as needed.
- Follow established opening and closing procedures for the bar.
- Monitor the behavior of guests and intervene when necessary to prevent excessive alcohol consumption or disruptive behavior.
- Attend regular meetings and training sessions as directed by management.
- Follow established procedures for handling and reporting incidents and accidents.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines and company policies, including those related to alcohol service.
- Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to the hotel's dress code.
- Continuously strive to exceed guest expectations and provide exceptional service.
- Other ad-hoc assignments and projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mixologist in a luxury hotel or high-volume bar, with a strong focus on mixology.
- Strong knowledge of mixology, cocktail creation, and spirits.
- Excellent customer service skills, with the ability to provide an exceptional guest experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Proficient in computer skills, including MS Office and Bar POS systems
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Adaptable and outgoing with excellent interpersonal skill.
- Ability to work under pressure and be flexible.
- Passionate and enthusiastic with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude.
